Embark on a 3-day gorilla trekking adventure through the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. This unique experience offers not only intimate encounters with these majestic creatures but also a chance to explore Uganda's diverse wildlife and cultural heritage. Highlights: - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: Home to 400+ mountain gorillas, 16 groups are available for tracking. - Diverse Wildlife: Encounter 163 tree species, 1,000 flowering plants, 51 reptiles, 140 fern species, and more. - Lake Bunyonyi: The deepest lake in Uganda with 29 islands, ideal for swimming and relaxation. - Uganda Equator Stop: Stand on both sides of the equator and explore local crafts. - Cultural Experience: Learn about the Ankole people, one of the oldest dynasties in Uganda. Itinerary: Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi/Lake Bunyonyi - Pick up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. - Scenic drive through the Kampala-Masaka route, with stops at the Uganda Equator and Igongo Cultural Centre. - Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi - Early morning transfer to Bwindi for a briefing and gorilla family assignment. - Trekking can take from 30 minutes to 4 hours; once found, you’ll spend one hour with the gorillas. - After trekking, transfer back to Lake Bunyonyi. Optional island tours or community visits. - Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort. Day 3: Departure - Transfer back to Entebbe or Kigali (optional visit to the Genocide Memorial in Rwanda).
